A BRIDGE Demonstration
BRIDGE Yin Pose of the Week: Saddle Pose
Theme: Standing at Your Edge With Confidence
Chakra Focus: Solar Plexus and Heart (confidence, openness, personal power)
Audience Insight: Especially supportive
for reflective leaders, shy, quiet, and loud introverts who sometimes feel pressure to carry conversations or decisions alone.
Purpose: To demonstrate how strength and openness can exist at the same time when we trust
our body and allow ourselves to remain present at our natural edge.
Outcome & Benefits:
Opens the front body including quadriceps and hip flexors
Encourages confidence through gentle expansion of the chest and abdomen
Deepens awareness of how the body holds strength and vulnerability together
Strengthens the mind body connection through stillness and breath
How to Prepare:
Begin by kneeling on the floor with your knees together and your feet resting beside your hips.
Slowly sit back so your hips move toward the floor between your feet.
Place your hands behind you and lean back gently.
You may remain here or lower onto your forearms if your body feels comfortable.
Allow your chest to open while your thighs remain grounded.
Pause and breathe
slowly.
Notice where your body meets its natural edge without forcing the posture deeper.
Silent Inquiry: What happens when I trust the strength that is already within me?
Cue: Notice how your body responds as the front of your body opens.
Feel the balance between effort and surrender.
Sometimes our edge is simply the place where we discover we were already stronger than we believed.
