A BRIDGE Demonstration
BRIDGE Yin Practice of the Week: Soft Gaze Meditation
Theme: Allowing presence to arrive gently
Chakra focus: Third Eye (intuition, internal space)
Audience insight: Perfect for those who find closing their eyes in meditation uncomfortable or who feel overstimulated by standard mindfulness
practices.
Purpose: To offer a non-intrusive, safe method for reflective leaders to connect with the present without the demand of intense focus or stillness.
Outcome & Benefits:
- Cultivates inner calm without pressure
- Strengthens intuitive self-trust
- Reduces overwhelm from external noise
How to Prepare:
Find a softly lit space where you can sit comfortably. Place both feet on the floor if seated in a
chair, or cross-legged on a cushion.
Silent Inquiry: Where does your attention settle naturally when you do not force it?
Cue: Gently allow your gaze to rest on a spot about three feet in front of you. Let your eyes go unfocused and breathe as if each inhale opens a little more inner space. If thoughts come, let them pass like clouds. Stay for 2-5 minutes in quiet, permission-filled awareness.
This demonstration sharpens intuitive clarity by softening visual control.
