Dear BRIDGE Community,

I’m sitting in my BRIDGE Room on Friday evening writing this to you, as the sky turns red and orange, thinking about the moments before we know what to do next.

Welcome to your Saturday mornings BRIDGE Yin moment.

It’s 9:00 a.m. EDT and we are here. I am Grateful for My Readers. My Audience.  The people who keep showing up, reading, reflecting, replying, and walking this BRIDGE with me.

As I write, the sun is setting and the sky is filled with these amazing reds and oranges. The kind of sky that makes you stop for a second. The kind of sky that does not ask you to do anything, but somehow gets your attention anyway.

And as I sit here, I am thinking about Mother’s Day being here 24 hours from now. I am thinking about mothers. I am thinking about the people who mother. The people who care. The people who hold. The people who think ahead. The people who make decisions before anyone else even realizes a decision had to be made.

And that brought me right into this week’s BRIDGE Yin message.

• Focus / Chakra: Third Eye 🔵 and Root Chakra 🔴 connection
• Insight: Sometimes we think we need to make the decision right now. But the body may be asking us to pause first.
• Purpose: This week’s practice is here to help you notice the difference between reflection and repetition. Reflection gives you information. Repetition keeps you circling.
• Outcome/Benefit: A place to land, soften, and let the body show you what’s truly present-before the mind rushes in to decide.

How to Prepare:

• Find a pillow, bolster, folded blanket, or anything soft that can support you.
• Come down to the floor, your bed, or wherever your body feels safe enough to soften.
• Bring your knees wide, or keep them closer together. Place the support under your chest. Fold forward. Let your forehead rest. Let your arms go where they want to go.
• This is not the moment to make the body look good. This is the moment to let the body tell the truth.

Silent Inquiry: What decision keeps returning to me? Don’t force the answer. Let the body show you. Are you still reflecting, or are you repeating?

Sound / Mind-Body Practice: As you settle, let your breath be your anchor. Notice the sound of your own inhale and exhale. Let the breath guide you to the present, not the outcome.

Sunset Citrus Ginger Water

• Energy Focus: Solar Plexus 🟡 and Root 🔴
• Bright. Warm. Simple. Alive. Inspired by the reds and oranges in the sky as I was writing to you.

Ingredient List:

• Filtered water | steady and clear
• Fresh orange slices | warmth and brightness
• Fresh lemon | clarity
• Fresh ginger | movement
• Mint | a little lift
• A tiny pinch of sea salt | grounding

How to Prepare:

1. Fill your glass or favorite bottle with filtered water.
2. Add orange slices, lemon, a few thin pieces of ginger, and mint if you have it.
3. Add a tiny pinch of sea salt.
4. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then take one sip before you go back to the decision. Let your body receive something simple before your mind starts working again.

Grounded Perspective for the Week Ahead

Before the decision appears, something usually gets your attention. A color in the sky. A sentence someone says. A feeling in your body. A thought that will not leave. A calendar date. A holiday. A memory. A moment.

This week, as Mother’s Day arrives, let yourself notice what has been asking for your attention. Not everything needs to be decided today. But the thing that keeps returning may need a better room. A cleaner question. A Second Opinion.
