Dear BRIDGE Reader,
This Week’s Gentle Focus: Honouring Contradictions
Life isn’t just either/or; often it’s both/and. Embracing complexity teaches us that growth often comes through mistakes, anxiety can fuel confidence, and accountability must be balanced with self‑forgiveness. When we allow seemingly opposite states to coexist, we cultivate a fuller, more resilient
way of being.
This week, let’s give ourselves permission to hold joy and grief, ambition and contentment, strength and vulnerability.
🌿 A Moment from My Week
Recently I felt a mix of pride and sadness. A project succeeded, yet I realized how much I’d grown attached to the challenge itself. Instead of choosing one feeling, I let them both be true. That little experiment in “both/and” softened my heart and reminded me how much more spacious life becomes when we
stop labeling emotions as right or wrong.
✨ RaRa‑ology of the Week
“In the space between opposites lies the wisdom of wholeness.”
Let that settle. Let that stir something true.
🧘♀️ THE BRIDGE Yin Pose of the Week: Dragonfly (Straddle Pose)
A wide‑legged forward fold inviting openness and inner stillness.
- Find your seat. Sit with legs wide and hips elevated slightly for
comfort.
- Enter the pose. Walk your hands forward and hinge at your hips until your torso folds between your legs.
- Modify as needed. Bend the knees slightly or bring legs closer if you feel tightness.
- Hold and breathe. Stay for 3–5 minutes, breathing slowly. Exit gently by pressing into the floor and rolling up.
🎯 Target Areas
- Hips, groin, inner thighs
- Hamstrings and back of
legs
- Lower back (spinal flexion)
✨ Benefits
- Deepens flexibility and patience
- Energizes liver, kidney, spleen meridians
- Builds resilience through sustained stillness
- Reflects the “both/and” experience via physical contrast
🌈 Chakra Focus: Sacral & Root
Dragonfly Pose connects deep emotional flow (Sacral Chakra) with grounded stability (Root Chakra), inviting you into a space where
complexity feels safe.
