🌬 THE BRIDGE EMBODIED GRATITUDE PRACTICE
A Five-Sense Journey into Stillness and Inner Power
🌾 1️⃣ Ground Through Touch – Lie down or sit comfortably. Feel gravity wrap around you. Let the earth take the weight you’ve been carrying. Feel where your body meets support—and soften.
🌿 2️⃣ Breathe in Gratitude – Inhale deeply. Is
there a scent in the air—sage, a favorite candle, clean morning air? Let it guide you inward. With each breath, say thank you—not for what’s happened, but for what’s happening now.
🎧 3️⃣ Listen to the Stillness – Tune into the small, sacred sounds: your breath, the rustling of your clothes, the quiet pulse within. There is a whole world alive in this silence. Let it speak.
🫧 4️⃣ Soften the Gaze – Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Picture a
soft light behind your eyelids—gentle, golden, calm. Let it bathe your inner vision in clarity.
🍃 5️⃣ Taste the Moment – Part your lips. Let your breath be light and open. Perhaps place a piece of fruit or dark chocolate on your tongue when you finish. Let yourself savor something simple and sweet, just because you can.
🧘♀️ 6️⃣ Guided Shavasana: The Ceremony of Stillness
This is your invitation to return to yourself.
To trust
that the stillness is where the magic integrates.
Here’s how to enter the sacred pose of Shavasana (Savaahana):
Lie Down Gently – On your back, legs extended long, arms resting at your sides with palms facing upward. Allow the feet to fall open naturally. Let the whole body soften into the earth.
Adjust for Comfort – Place a bolster or pillow under your knees if your lower back needs support. Cover yourself with a blanket if the body feels
cool. This is your sacred space—tend to it with care.
Close the Eyes & Let Go – Soften your gaze or gently close your eyes. Let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Unclench the jaw. Smooth the space between your eyebrows.
Breathe Naturally – No force, no effort. Let the breath find its own rhythm. Feel the rise and fall of your belly. Let the body be breathed.
Feel Your Wholeness – Imagine your body as light. Each
inhale fills you with gentle warmth; each exhale releases what’s no longer needed. Stay here for 5–10 minutes (or longer, if time allows).
Reawaken with Intention – Begin to bring small movements back—wiggling fingers and toes. Gently turn your head side to side. Roll onto your right side in a fetal position. Stay for a breath or two, then rise slowly to a seated position.
Seal with Gratitude – Bring hands to heart center. Bow your head slightly.
Whisper a thank you—not just to the world, but to yourself for showing up.
🌸 Shavasana is not the end. It’s the integration. It’s where healing becomes real.
